Recent Rides

Many of our readers have sent us questions regarding exercise, specifically cycling, when pregnant. To begin, we want to highlight that exercise is completely safe and actually highly recommended to help with a healthy pregnancy. Those who were active before getting pregnant are encouraged to continue to exercise as they were unless otherwise directed by a healthcare professional. Studies have shown that exercise during pregnancy can help reduce back pain, help increase energy, improve mood, help you sleep better and help maintain a healthy weight. So women cyclists out there, keep pedaling! In fact, you can pedal your way through your entire pregnancy!

  • Early Prenatal Tests

While we encourage regular exercise (and of course cycling, this is Australian CX Magazine after all!), we also want to inform and educate our readers about the importance of first trimester screening. Early pregnancy tests can give you so much information about your baby’s health. The tests can look at specific genetic markers and make sure the new baby is happy and healthy. While they can’t tell you if the new baby will be an avid cyclist, there is so much else you will learn! To encourage all new moms to opt into early screening, we have provided a list of doctors that we have teamed up with, all whom will give a free nipt test to Australian CX Magazine readers! So schedule an appointment today and cycle over to your doctor to learn all about your baby- stay healthy fellow cyclists!
